After completion of primary and secondary education Dogan Halit Yalki completed Mechanical Engineering at Middlesex University London (Polytechnic) in the UK. Worked as quality control engineer at Alexander Grinding in the UK then as project coordinator for construction of hotels internationally at Polly Peck international plc UK. He returned to Cyprus in 1992 after completing military service set up his own water sports equipment sales and Scuba Diving Company. In 1999 started as technical manager at Salamis Bay Conti Hotel then progressed to General Manager.
Beginning of 2010 become shareholder at Northern Travel ltd, a Destination Management Company, and Managing Director mainly responsible for marketing, charter flights and accounting. Also shareholder and cofounder of De-Base online tour (online DMC) and Managing Director. In 2014 became a shareholder at Golden Wings, a hotel investment company, The Olive Tree Hotel. He is still actively involved in these companies.
He is Board Member of Cyprus Turkish Tourism and Travel Agents Union
